Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement") carefully before using the Global Holiday Tracker website located at https://global-holiday-tracker.vercel.app (the "Service") operated by Global Holiday Tracker ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the Terms of this Agreement, then you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Global Holiday Tracker, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you personally and that organization. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Global Holiday Tracker is a free, web-based information service that aggregates and displays public holiday data for countries worldwide. The Service provides the following core features: a multi-country holiday list with countdown timers; an interactive monthly calendar with color-coded holiday markers; tracking of major e-commerce and commercial shopping events; .ics calendar file export functionality compatible with standard calendar applications; a language switcher supporting eight languages; and a Progressive Web App (PWA) experience for mobile device installation. The Service fetches public holiday data from the Nager.Date API in real time. E-commerce event dates are curated and maintained by our team. The Service is offered at no charge to users and is supported by third-party advertising.

3. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the holiday information provided through the Service, we make no representations or warranties of any kind — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed. Public holiday data is sourced from the Nager.Date API, which aggregates information from government publications and national calendars. Despite the reliability of this source, the following limitations apply:

  • Governments may announce, modify, cancel, or reschedule public holidays with little or no advance notice. The Service may not reflect such last-minute changes immediately.
  • Some countries have regional holidays that differ between states, provinces, or territories. The Service primarily displays nationally-recognized public holidays and may not capture all regional variations.
  • E-commerce event dates (such as Amazon Prime Day, Singles Day, and similar commercial events) are approximate estimates based on historical patterns and may differ from the actual dates when they are officially announced.
  • Islamic and lunar calendar-based holidays may shift by one or two days from the predicted dates shown, depending on moon sighting determinations made in specific countries or regions.
  • The Service should not be used as the sole source of truth for legal, contractual, payroll, labor compliance, or any other high-stakes business decision involving public holiday dates. Always verify critical dates with official government sources, local labor authorities, or qualified legal counsel before acting on information from this Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, the servers that host it, or any other systems or networks connected to the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein.
  • Make excessive automated requests to the Service or its underlying third-party APIs in a manner that constitutes unreasonable load or could be classified as scraping, crawling, or denial-of-service activity.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service or the data it provides without our express written permission.
  • Use the Service to transmit any spam, unsolicited messages, or harmful content.
  • Remove, obscure, or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices displayed within the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

The design, user interface, original source code, and written content of the Service are owned by Global Holiday Tracker and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes only. Public holiday data provided through the Service originates from the Nager.Date API and is subject to Nager.Date's open-source terms of use. E-commerce event data curated by our team is original content proprietary to Global Holiday Tracker. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our proprietary content without our explicit written consent.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with and relies on third-party services including, but not limited to, the Nager.Date API for holiday data, Google AdSense for advertising, Adsterra for advertising, Vercel for hosting, and Google Fonts for typography. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or privacy practices of any third-party service. Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience only and do not constitute our endorsement of those websites or services. We disclaim all responsibility for content found at linked third-party sites.

7. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements from third-party advertising networks, currently including Google AdSense and Adsterra. These advertisements are how we fund the free operation of the Service. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for their accuracy, legality, or appropriateness. By using the Service, you acknowledge that advertising is a necessary component of the Service's free-of-charge model. If you encounter an advertisement that you believe is inappropriate, inaccurate, or misleading, please report it directly to the relevant advertising network through their official reporting channels.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; THAT THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; OR THAT ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GLOBAL HOLIDAY TRACKER AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE HOLIDAY DATES; SCHEDULING OR OPERATIONAL LOSSES CAUSED BY INACCURATE DATA; DAMAGES FROM MISSED SHIPPING OR DELIVERY DEADLINES; PAYROLL ERRORS ARISING FROM INCORRECT HOLIDAY INFORMATION; OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL OR BUSINESS LOSS. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US FOR USE OF THE SERVICE IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS, WHICH, GIVEN THE FREE NATURE OF THE SERVICE, SHALL BE ZERO. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in the relevant territory. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice and without liability to you. We may add new features, remove existing features, change data sources, or alter the visual design of the Service at our discretion. We will endeavor to provide advance notice of significant changes when practicable, but we are not obligated to do so.
